I haven’t seen anything official on this, but @mtsualert seems to be prepping to provide alerts via Twitter. Lack of having something like this was one of the reasons I started @mtsu.
Two tweets (which have since been deleted) were sent today testing the system.
The first was 2:59 p.m. :
“Dear Alana, This is the test message you requested. mtsu is now able to reach you at this address.”
Followed by this at 3:12 p.m. :
MTSU ALERT: TEST MESSAGE ONLY to Twitter.
And now the account has just:
There are no alerts to report at this time, but this site is working.
